The Kurotoga patented lead mechanism continously rotates the pencil as you write, with a spring-loaded clutch that twists everytime you lift the pencil from the paper. This allows the pencil lead to wear down uniformly, creating a sharp writing experieince.
The Hold mode allows for the lead to feel more stable - perfect for on the go note taking!
Please note that the Kuru Toga mechanism’s functionality is influenced by an individual’s writing style, and as such, it does not guarantee a perfectly sharp tip 100% of the time. The more frequently you lift the pencil while writing, the more rotation it will have.
